If you're anything like me, your sweet tooth is a whole problem. And it is hard to control. I promise if I could eat dessert every night and there weren't any consequences from that decision I would be all over it. Instead, I try to buy foods or make snacks that naturally answer my sweet tooth's calling and contain some kind of health benefit. Added bonus if I can take them on the go. Enter my peanut butter chocolate chip energy bites.
I came across this recipe recently and really liked the idea of a healthier version of a cookie and then I thought, "I bet I could add some protein to this and really make it worth my while." I found Olly Plant Power Protein Mix at Target and knew it was a winner for me because of its plant-based protein. I have been incorporating more plant based protein into my meals and snacks because this type of protein is less fattening than some animal protein can be, but still gives you the protein you need. And having a strong presence of protein in your diet is essential to weight management and an overall healthy lifestyle. Olly's plant-based protein has 18g of protein in one packet. Talk about wins all around! Check out the recipe below for this snack that is both delicious and nutritious!
