7 Days of Green Smoothies

Any time when I have the opportunity to try out a new healthy food or lifestyle challenge I'm always down to give it a go. At this point in my life these are the little joys I how far I have come. When @_maeeee posted on her Instagram story about Simple Green Smoothies' 7 day smoothie challenge I thought this would be a fun way to change up my morning routine. If you're not following her you should be. She has great smoothie recipes and she and her husband are so funny. 

I've been a little apprehensive to make or buy smoothies with vegetables in them in the past because I'm such a huge fruit fan and I worried if the vegetables would throw off the sweet taste I enjoyed. However, I figured starting my day with a breakfast smoothie that had some of my favorite fruits and forced me to eat more vegetables could be a good thing. You would be amazed at the amount of vegetables you're body is supposed to consume in a day compared to how much you actually probably do. These smoothies also saved me a lot of time in the morning because I prepped them all on Sunday, which allowed me to catch a couple extra zzz's during the week. Not to mention they were delicious! I would definitely try this 7 day regimen or another one like it again. I've included the shopping list and recipes by day above for all of you smoothie lovers out there.
