Farmers Appreciation Day at Greensboro Farmers Curb Market

One of the best parts of living in a downtown area such as Greensboro is the close proximity to so many things. Within a 5 minute drive, or even a 5 minute walk sometimes, I can be at an event, restaurant, or store. This is very different from some of the other places I've lived where it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour for me to get to something I want or need to do.

Y'all know I love my farmer's markets so it should be no surprise that I frequent the Farmers Curb Market in downtown Greensboro. This particular farmer's market is different from some of the others I've visited in that it is indoor, which is awesome because while so many others close down around October when it starts to become consistently cooler, the Greensboro market is open year round. I normally get there around 8:00 on Saturday morning so that I can make sure I get what I want before the hug crowds arrive. However, y'all would be amazed at how many people have the same idea and get there even before I do!
On my most recent visit to the Farmers Curb Market they were hosting a Farmers Appreciation Day breakfast where a local chef was making a homemade breakfast using ingredients that all came from local farms. The farmer's market and breakfast are two of my favorite things on planet Earth so the two combined was a match mate in heaven for me. And it did not disappoint. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and after I finished I did a little grocery shopping for the upcoming week. I've already found a couple of vendors whose products I love and will shop every week.

Farmers Appreciation Day breakfast also served as a fundraiser for the market to support the market initiatives, which include SNAP, a food security program, local food tastings, and education opportunities.

Saturday's from 7am-12pm year round
501 Yanceyville St.
Greensboro, NC
