Fall Transition Go To's

Just went I thought fall was right around the corner Mother Nature said SIKE! I was in Charlotte today and my goodness it was humid as hell. Worry not, Mother Nature! Your fickle attitude will not stop me from planning for fall, talking about fall, and thinking of ALL OF THE THINGS fall.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions by the fashion world is that everywhere goes from hot to sweaters and boots over night. And if you live anywhere below the Mason Dixon line you know that is simply not true. Rather, early fall mornings are cool and crisp and by lunch time you feel like an idiot for putting on a sweater that morning. This is why it's important to invest in a few key pieces- this applies to both men and women- that work perfectly for both scenarios. I'm breaking down my 4 go to pieces and where you can buy them whether you're male or female (1 & 2 for females, 3 & 4 for males):

1. Utility Jacket: these are so perfect for the early start of fall because you can throw one on in the morning before heading to work, class, errands, or even the gym. Then by the time lunch rolls around you can take it off or tie it around you waist.

2. T-shirts: whatever works for your color wheel and matches your style, GET THEM! They are perfect for now when it's warm and serve as a good layering pieces when it cools off.

3. Distressed Jeans: I mean all I can say is if you don't own a pair of distressed jeans what are you doing with your life? Just kidding...but really. They're cool and they'll keep you cool. Need I say more?

4. Sneakers: yes, another appearance by the oh so beautiful Nike Cortez sneakers. I tried to warn y'all that you'd be seeing them a lot. Get some sneakers. They don't even have to be expensive or name brand. Just get a pair that goes with everything! You WILL thank me!
