My Summer TV Watch List

I spent this past weekend with some of my girlfriends who gave me a great idea for today's blog post. I'm always telling my friends about this new show I'm watching or one that I'm excited to check out when it premieres. There are several TV shows across several networks that I have been waiting to premiere. Today, I'm going to give you my list of must-watch shows premiering this summer.

1. The Bold Type- premieres July 11th on FreeForm (formerly ABC Family) @ 9/8c

The Bold Type is inspired by the life of Cosmopolitan magazine editor in chief, Joanna Coles. It provides a both comical and dramatic glimpse into the lives of those working for a global women's magazine. The three primary characters are learning how to manage work, friendships, and love in their 20s, all while trying to make their mark and style the perfect pair of jeans for any body type.

2. Boy Band- premiered June 22nd on ABC @ 8/7c

Every American girl can attest to loving a boy band at some point in their childhood. Whether it was Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, or One Direction they were our heart throbs and we know the words to every song no matter how much time has passed. Well Boy Band is a reality show that is going to make the next American boy band. It's two weeks in so you have time to catch up. I'm already hooked and have my favorite boys that are so adorable and make me melt!

3. Snowfall- premieres July 5th on FX @ 10/9c

Set in Los Angeles in 1983, Snowfall, brings to light the rise of the largest drug epidemic affecting the United States today. I'm fascinated by social issues that occurred before I was born so when I saw this title I was instantly the intrigued. This FX drama follows several characters involved in the crack cocaine epidemic in different ways and is sure to be very raw and real.

4. Friends from College- premieres July 14th on Netflix

When I saw a billboard ad for this TV show my first thought was: why weren't my friends and I casted for this show?! The cast of this show is approaching their 40s and are learning how to balance the nostalgia of their past with their current adult lives. With complicated relationships and complicated romantic pasts, I can only imagine how hilarious and nostalgic this show will make me for my best friends from college!
